MJC condemns twin attacks in Kampala PDF Print E-mail

The Muslim Judicial Council [SA] condemns the killing of 74 civilians and the wounding of 85 people in twin attacks which took place in Kampala, the capital of Uganda.  This senseless deed cannot be seen as a catalyst for the establishment of peace between nations.

We convey our deepest condolences to the families of the victims as well as the people of Uganda during this tragic time.
It is our belief through the guidance of the sharia that the killing of one innocent individual is comparable in its extent of an injustice to the killing of an entire nation.  Therefore, no justification for this deed can ever suffice as the reason for this act of violence.

During this time of political instability and wars amongst certain African states which results in a climate of attacks and retaliations, we pray that good relations through respecting and upholding sovereignty with neighboring states are our priority as Africans.
Our continent is sorely in need of stability for its growth and development.
