MJC CONDEMNS PAKISTAN BLAST
The Muslim judicial Council (MJC SA) condemns the heinous and cowardly suicide bombing that targeted the Christian community at the crowded Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park in Lahore, Pakistan which killed 65 and wounded 300 people. The bomber blew himself up amongst the mostly women and children in the park where the community were celebrating Easter Sunday.
It is with great sadness that we convey our condolences to the family and friends of the deceased and the people of Pakistan during this very tragic time. We pray that God Almighty will place patience into the hearts of those who lost their loved ones and that the people of Pakistan will stand united against the evil, divisive and sectarian based ideology influenced by the unislamic state of IS (ISIS) which has caused mayhem and death across Muslim lands.
The ideology used to justify these cowardly killings are foreign to Islam as it advocates the destruction of interfaith relationships and it rejects the Islamic teaching in the Quran that states that “Whoever kills a person, it is as though he has killed all mankind. And whoever saves a life, it is as though he had saved all mankind”. (Quran, 5:32)
May God Almighty purify the hearts of mankind and bring peace to all the troubled nations. Ameen.
