Sheikh Muhammad West has served as Treasurer of the Muslim Judicial Council (MJC) and Chief Financial Officer of the MJC Halaal Trust since 2023. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant (SA) and is an academic lecturer in The College of Accounting at the University of Cape Town.
Sh Muhammad graduated from the Islamic University of Madinah in the faculty of Theology and has served as the Imam of the Boorhaanol Islam Masjid for the past 15 years. He is also an executive board member of the Imam Develop Programme (IDP) and serves as Head of Finance of the International Open University (IOU) on its Global Senior Management Board.
