The Majlis al-Ifta is a gathering that takes place bi-monthly at the Muslim Judicial Council’s premises in Athlone.
The Majlis comprises members of the Fatwa Department together with affiliate members.

The Aim of Majlis al-Ifta
The Majlis al-Ifta was established to ensure that questions received by the department are thoroughly discussed and debated before a Fatwa is issued.
A Fatwa is a legal verdict issued with great responsibility. The deliberations of the Majlis aim to present the most accurate answers and representations of the Law of Allah.
