Social Development Department
The Social Development Department provides accessible Islamic psychosocial support to individuals, couples and families within the community.
The department offers counselling, assessment, referral and crisis-response services guided by Islamic values and professional ethics. It also facilitates marital-related services, including Talaq and Faskh processes, in line with Islamic principles and organisational procedures.
Its work strengthens family systems, promotes emotional well-being and addresses social challenges through preventative and intervention-based services. The department also oversees the training, supervision and support of lay counsellors to promote ethical, high-quality service delivery.
Through its work, the department helps individuals and families navigate personal, social and marital challenges with dignity and compassion.
