Fatwa Department
The Fatwa arm functions co-independently within the MJC’s combined Fatwa and Qada structure.
Led by the Mufti and supported by its administration and Fatwa Committee, the department provides official Islamic legal opinions internally and to the public, representing the formal Shariah position of the organisation.
The department also serves as a research arm, drawing on departmental members and external researchers, and provides guidance through consultations, phone queries and formal meetings.
