LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION (LOR)

Letters of Recommendation (LOR) is offered to registered organisations who seek public funds to assist with the running costs of the organisations. LoRs are issued to organisations who are older than 24 months who can produce a constitution, NPO certificate, registered bank account in the name of the organisation, an income and expense statement as well as an audited financial statement.

Conditions of issue

  • Only non-profit waqf community institutions/organizations, working in the religious Da’wah, Welfare and/or Education arena will be considered.
  • All documents must be submitted for perusal ONE MONTH in advance of the date of collection to the MJC for the attention of Moulana Abdul Khaliq Allie.
  • All Collection letters will be granted for the period of ONE MONTH ONLY.
  • No authorization letters will be granted to individuals collecting in their PERSONAL capacity for whichever reason.
  • Only non-profit waqf community institutions/organizations, working in the religious Da’wah, Welfare and/or Education arena in the community will be considered.
  • Collections done LOCALLY in the Western Cape Area, under the jurisdiction of the MJC is restricted to TWICE A YEAR for the period of one month, only.
  • No authorization letters will be given to any institution/organization/madrassah whilst it is under any type of INVESTIGATION OR ARBITRATION.

A small donation of R50.00 (Fifty Rand) towards admin costs per printed collection letter is required. All re-reprints of collection letters — due to any changes — will also require a donation.

PS: To avoid fraud, donors are requested to contact the offices of the MJC to verify the authenticity of the collector/letter.
