MJC/AL-QUDS FOUNDATION (SA) PROTEST ACTION FOR PALESTINE

The closure of the Al-Aqsa Sanctuary on Friday, 14th July 2017 is an atrocious violation of the rights of Muslims to worship at Islam’s third holiest site.

Zionist Occupiers went a step further to install metal detectors and CCTV cameras in and around the Al-Aqsa sanctuary with additional security plans in place with the aim of asserting their illegitimate authority on the Palestinian people.

As South Africans, who fought against the Apartheid government, we cannot allow our Palestinian brethren to be stripped of their human rights, dignity and freedom. We took to the streets of Cape Town, South Africa, to demand the Israeli-Apartheid regime remove any and all security equipment at Al-Aqsa sanctuary. Should these demands not be met, we ask the South African government’s intervention on the matter.
