CT Walk4Freedom attended by hundreds
Keffiyehs (Palestinian Scarves) and flags donned hundreds of Capetonians who participated in the 9th Annual Walk4Freedom on Sunday on Sea Point promenade.
The walk was in memory of the late Shaykhul Aqsa, Moulana Ihsaan Hendricks and Dr Ebrahim Akoojee who gave their lives to work toward a liberated and free Palestine.
Leading the walk was another passionate Palestinian Activist, beloved Shaykh Ebrahim Gabriels who, over the years, has been reminding all Muslims that sacred country of Palestine and Masjidul Aqsa is the responsibility of everyone to protect and not just Palestinians.
Activities continue until 4pm at the Greenpoint Track and include soccer and cricket tournaments, jumping castles and face-painting. Food will also be on sale.
Two days ago, Palestinians shared a video wherein they thanked South Africans for their on-going support against the Zionist regime’s occupation of their land.
The Cape Town Walk4freedom was organized by the Al Quds Foundation (SA), Palestine Solidarity Alliance and supported by the Muslim Judicial Council (SA).
