Eidul-Adha Mubarak
Assalamu Alaykum Warahmatullahi Wa Barakatu
Allah Almighty is indeed the greatest and His favour upon the Ummah of Islam is without a doubt innumerable. We thank and we praise the Almighty for His bounties and place peace and salutations upon the beloved of Allah, Nabi Muhammad (SAW)
The first 10 days of the month of Dhul Hijjah is one of the numerous favours of Almighty Allah upon the believers and it is my sincere prayer that Almighty Allah grant all our beloved Hujjaaj a Hajj Maqbul and Mabrur, Aamin.
On behalf of the MJC (SA) Presidency, the Executive and Senior Councils and the General Membership we take this opportunity to congratulate the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eidul Adhaa 2022/1443.
Hajj has so many beautiful lessons that are relevant to our time and reality. The ultimate test placed before our father Nabi Ebrahim (AS) when commanded by Allah to sacrifice his son Nabi Ismā’il (AS) to the beautiful expression of patience and acceptance by Nabi Ismā’il (AS) is perhaps the most striking. Today we live in a time when we are torn between obeying the commands of Allah and holding on to that which is dear and precious to us. May Almighty Allah strengthen our resolve to overcome our fears and weaknesses so that we may be from amongst His obedient and grateful slaves. The Hajj is also a beautiful demonstration of the unity and equality that should categorize the Ummah of Islam. The diversity of nations, culture, race and tradition witnessed on this beautiful pilgrimage is in stark contrast to what we observe in the global Ummah. May Almighty Allah connect our hearts and guide us on the path of righteousness.
As we celebrate Eidul Adha with our families and loved ones, let us not forget to make duah for our beloved Hujjaj, may Almighty Allah accept their duahs and grant them a Hajj Maqbul and Mabrur.
Let us not forget to pray for global Ummah of Islam and humanity at large who are living in difficult circumstances as a result of poverty, famine, oppression, fear or war.
Let us connect ourselves with the Sunnah of Nabi Ebrahim (AS) and Nabi Muhammad (SAW) in performing Qurbaan or by contributing towards Qurbaan for the poor and needy.
May Almighty Allah accept our pious deed and accept our supplications, Aamin.
Eid Mubarak!
