DQA REPRESENTATIVE TO TURKEY QIRAÁH COMPETITION

The Department Of Quranic Affairs, Muslim Judicial Council (SA), is pleased to announce that Hāfith, Qāri Gasan Leak has been selected to represent South Africa in this year’s recitation competition in Turkey.

Hāfith Gasan will depart on the 28th of September for Istanbul and proceed to Konya where the competition will be held, in sha Allah.

This comes after a lengthy process of interaction with a specific selection of vocally talented reciters who are all memorisers of the Quran. We released of their recitations, via video clips, to the Turkish authorities and a selection of our representative was made by the Turkish Adjudication team.

May Allah bless Hāfith Gasan on his journey. May what is attained be solely for Allah’s pleasure. And may our way towards our own recital competition in the future be facilitated in sha Allah.
