Entries for the 3rd Annual MJC Islamic Eisteddfod now open
The MJC Islamic Eisteddfod has proved to be a very popular event Alhamdulillah and we were overwhelmed by the number of entries for the competition.
This year the competition takes place over two days:
Junior Competition (8 -14 years old) – Tuesday 28 August 2018
Senior Competition (15 – 19 years old) – Wednesday 29 August 2018
Both competitions will take place at the Ashura Caterers Hall, 12 College Road, Rylands.
Spectator tickets will be available at the door for R50 each.
Each School will be allowed to register a maximum of 2 learners in each of the following Categories:
- Poetry
- Speech
- Spoken Word
This year’s Topics include:
Poetry
- Salaah your key to Jannah
- Muhammad (saw), a mercy to mankind
- Khadeeja (RA)
- The pen is mightier than the sword
- The world needs love
Speech
- Strong Parents, Strong children
- Attitude of Gratitude
- Oh Children of Syria
- The golden age of Islamic civilization
- Qur’an & Science
Spoken Word
Participants are allowed to render a spoken word of their choice.
