MJC sends our condolences to Indonesians affected by the Tsunami

The Muslim Judicial Council (SA) is deeply saddened at the devasting earthquake and subsequent Tsunami that rocked Central Sulawesi in Indonesia on Friday.

We send our deepest condolences to the President of Indonesia, the victims’ families and friends and make dua for a smooth rescue operation of those still trapped under the rubble. Dozens of people were reported to be trapped in the rubble of several hotels and a mall in the city of Palu, on Sulawesi island, which was hit by waves as high as six metres following the 7.5 magnitude earthquake on Friday.

We urge all relief organisations in South Africa, who can assist the people of Central Sulawesi, in either cash or kind, to please hasten to help them.

May Allah Almighty grant comfort and contentment into the hearts of those touched by this disaster, Ameen.
